New discovery of ancient Zapotec ruins in Oaxaca, just 15 minutes above the city and right across from the famous Monte Alban pyramids. Sometimes those hilltops are not what they seem. They are still working on unveiling some of the main pyramids of this site. I was there last year, and now again this year! You can see the advancement and the restoration of the archaeologists in the photo. Also, check out the kiln it is the same type used by world famous ceramist Doña Irma with whom we visit on our way to visit the pyramids. This new pyramid site is not visited as much because many people don’t know about it! We had so much fun being the only ones there yesterday!
